Spent the afternoon working on my kickstart installs and had a couple
issues. If anyone can offer suggestion on what to Bugzilla against
lemme know. I started to file against system-config-kickstart, but
these may be more appropriate against anaconda, or some other module....

Issue 1 - USB bus scan delay = usb flash kickstart file not found
If I boot with a flash device that also houses my kickstart file
(ks=hd:sdb:/ks.cfg) I see some oddities
- the usb-device module loads twice (in my case usb-device, cciss, lpfc,
usb-device again)
- the installer then pukes, stating that it cannot find the kickstart
file
If I look at the messages I can see that there's much commotion as the
USB module installs and the bus scans, including a message that states
"waiting while device settles"
If I simply count to 30 and tell the installer to again try the
specified location for the KS file it finds it as expected.

Obviously, there's no way for a hands-free/unattended install if this
happens

Issue 2 - autostep halts on password entry
In my KS file I specified to use autostep and do screen captures. This
works, but for whatever reason it stops on the root password screen and
requires manual entry of the password (and clicking of "next") before
autostep again moves on for the balance of the install.

Again, this precludes an automated / hands-off install.

Issue 3 - redundant DHCP requests / long delay
Much like the USB driver insertion, it seems that the system is asking
for a DHCP address twice. Going strictly off what I see in the kernel &
installer messages I have an IP, no problem, but then the installer asks
for it again, and it takes an eternity to come back. However, can't
really say if the delay is in my DHCP server or in the installer, but it
still seems odd that it asks twice..
Don't know that I'll Bugzilla this one, but it's weird behavior (or I
just need to understand why it does what it does)

TIA
Don
