You could try changing the default run level from 5 to 3.

i.e. in /etc/inittab change  "id:5:initdefault:"  to "id:3:initdefault:"

hi list,

i have installed a RHEL5 with all graphical environment (gnome
desktop) but now, i want to remove all graphical environment to work
only via command line. Is there a method to remove quickly all gnome
and deps about? all the command lines management for RHEL5 will be
avilable?
