You are subscribed to the server channels. Thunderbird isn't considered a server application so it isn't there.

It is in the Desktop channel. There was supposed to be a productivity apps channel (doesn't show up on our satellite product but that may be for other reasons). If you have access to the productivity apps channel, you should be able to get it from there.

yum install thunderbird
fails and I don't see thunderbird listed when I list the packages in those channels.

Is thunderbird included in RHEL5? If so, what am I doing wrong? If not, what happened?
