2. what was the last text you see on the screen before it sticks?
3. Try alt-f2/f3 to see what part of the install process its at
4. try linux noprobe text and see if you get any further.

sounds like the gui installation method doesnt like his gfx card. I had that too. It not a problem or an issue. Just use the text mode installation and configure your card later once you got every installed/updated.
