It looks very familiar. I think that it is the same problem as the one I
have been having, check your system time before and after migration... I
think it will change for example +2 days when performing live migration
in one way and -2 days the other way. As a workaround you can try
issuing this command in DomU:

echo 1 >/proc/sys/xen/independent_wallclock

And perform live migration again - it should help.

Subject: [rhelv5-list] DomU Live migration problem

I have been using VMs for a while, but i have only just started looking
at migration between hosts.

I have a test set up of one box running as an iscsi target, and 2 others
as the vm hosts.
I have installed a single para virtulized RHEL5.1 DomU on the iscsi, and
can successfully start it up on either of the hosts.

The problem i have is when performing a live migration, i start the
DomU on host A, login remotely using X windows and everything is fine.
I then migrate the DomU to host B. The X window stays working fine, and
there is only a short pause of a second or two.
If I migrate back to Host A, the X windows seems to get into a funny
state, the GUI works OK, ie opening windows, menus etc, but the
applications seem to hang.
Even if i log out and relogin using X i get the same problem.

If i migrate to host B again, the X works normally again.

The other strange thing, is host A reports an uptime of 2 days and host
B reports an uptime of a few minutes (which is true)

The only difference between the two hosts is that Host A is running new
AMD opterons with the hardware virtulization and host B is running older
opterons without the hardware virtulization.

Any one got any ideas?
