I run VMware Server 1.0.4 on Poweredge 1955 Blades on debian etch amd64 without any problems. The reasoning is that we often run 8GB+ ran on the host and then split it up on 32bit guests such that it's easier to use balance the processor usage.
I've used the vmware-package backport [1] to create a vmware-server package and I'm happy with it. Is it officially supported? The server is question is a Dell PowerEdge 1950 with two Xeon 5100 series dual-core CPUs. Are there any known issues running VMware Server on a x86_64 distribution like Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 or better 5? Thanks. _______________________________________________ Linux-PowerEdge mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.us.dell.com/mailman/listinfo/linux-poweredge Please read the FAQ at http://lists.us.dell.com/faq _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
