Hi list,
I have a RHEL 5 server with samba as pdc and dns master and dhcp
It works fine.
There is an access point in the local network.
My dhcp server leases the same IP always to PCs based on ethernet mac.
all pcs are in the dns forward and reverse zones.
I have the following problem:
I have a laptop with xp professional joined to samba pdc. I joined it, using
the wired network.
But when I try login in the laptop at the domain (pdc) using wireless , I
can't.
The laptop sees the windows networks neigborhood when I login using a local
perfil. ( wireless mode)
The laptop can enter to shares in the pdc, asking for user and password. (
wireless mode)
the wireless nic has a ip different to wire nic.
the laptop has only name "portatil" of course:
# nslookup portatil
dns resolves to 192.168.0.x
 ip for wired nic.
# nslookup 192.168.0.x
dns resolves to "portatil"
# nslookup 192.168.0.y ( ip for wireless nic)
dns resolves to"portatil"

But I don't log in the laptop in the domain.

any idea?
thanks for any help
feb.
