Right - I think mainly I'm trying to point out the dependency issues, and that removing a service that isn't running could be more trouble for you in some instances.
A lot of people I run across pay no attention to security beyond the system itself , and forget that it's a much bigger, harder thing to have depending on your environment and requirements to do business.
