Hi all,

After making an attempt to migrate an RHEL4 based samba LDAP domain controller over to a fresh RHEL5.1 machine, users are not able to connect to the new server.

The log shows up this:

[2008/03/15 21:12:50, 1] auth/auth_sam.c:sam_account_ok(172)
sam_account_ok: Account for user 'minfrin' password must change!.

sam_account_ok: Account for user 'minfrin' password must change!.

sam_account_ok: Account for user 'minfrin' password must change!.

Nothing in the old controller enforced any kind of password expiry, and the new controller doesn't explicitly define anything either.

Has anybody encountered this problem and solved it?

I uncovered the following post from the archives that got a few responses but no solution:

I added a bug for this issue to bugzilla, as a search uncovered nothing:

Regards,
Graham
