Hi Everyone.
I've run into a problem with SELinux and procmail - I'm trying to have a
scenario where end users can email themselves to turn a vacation message
on and off. I saw the original procmail recipe here: -
http://ahab.com/code/vacationrc
The SELinux errors I get are as follows: -
SELinux is preventing sh (procmail_t) "getattr" to /bin/hostname
(hostname_exec_t).
SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/procmail (procmail_t) "execute" to
hostname
(hostname_exec_t).
SELinux is preventing the /usr/bin/procmail from using potentially
mislabeled files (tmp).
This is pretty much my first run in with SELinux and I'd like to rectify
the problems and keep SELinux running, but don't really know where to
begin. The SELinux log said to file a bugzilla, but I didn't really
think this was a bug, rather a question of sorting out a new policy for
the machine. If someone could say yes sort a new policy read the how-to
I'd be grateful. The link took me to Fedora Core 5.
There's a good argument that it's a bug in policy. If you file a report,
wiser folk than we can ponder the question.
