I've successfully installed Fedora 8 on this box and it pretty much just worked.

I'm now trying to install Red Hat EL 5 on this same box. As previously posted, I had problems with accessing the dvd/cd drive, so I was able to complete a network install by booting 'linux hda=noprobe'.

After my successful install, I continue to have the problems with the cd/dvd drive. The worst problem is keyboard input. Echoing of the characters back to the window is terribly slow. I can type a whole line before the first few characters begin to appear. I feel like I'm on a 110 baud modem connected to a remote computer.

Any suggestions as to address the keyboard issue would be greatly appreciated. I can stumble through with the cd/dvd drive issues, but the keyboard issue makes the system unusable.

Thanks for any suggestions.
