Hi I thought it would be simple but the solution is alluding me at present.
I want to load the mptctl module at boot time without having to add modprobe mptctl to rc.local. Is there a better way of using rc.local. I thought about using install directive in modprobe.conf but could not get it to work as I want. Also when reading the man page my understanding was that you use install when you want to customize the module installation which is not what I want to do. I just want it to install "normally". Regards
