On a particular server A, with RHEL5.2 & Xen 3.03, creating a
paravitualized RHEL5 virtual host will "almost" hangs at the step
formatting the root partition if the disk files are not initialized in
advance ( i.e. without using --nonsparse ). "Almost" means it will
finally pass that format step after 2-3 hours or so, the disk sizes are
just about 10G. If the parameter --nonsparse is used, everything is just
fine.
The same virt-install script works well when moved to another server B
with same OS but different hardware, no matter whether --nonsparse is
used or not.
I think the problem may relates to the disk system, but besides that
problem, everything else seems ok.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
