Another update. Due to the release of RHEL 5.3 (see
http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-15522), the push of this fix has
been delayed for a week.

I am still looking into this.
Also, I can confirm that we have definitely had some availability
issues recently with RHN. We have put several changes into production
to alleviate these, but there are still some 404/502/503 errors. A fix
is going into production on Jan 20 that should resolve this. There are
also some issues with download speeds on RHN, and we are looking into
options for improving that.
