We have an application that is currently running on Red Hat EL 4 and Red Hat EL 5.2. After upgrading one of our servers to 5.3, our application now crashes with the following error:

X Error of failed request: BadDrawable (invalid Pixmap or Window parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 14 (X_GetGeometry)
Resource id in failed request: 0x2
Serial number of failed request: 12754
Current serial number in output stream: 12754

No core file is generated, although the application and environment are set up to permit core file generation.

The application has multiple windows that can be opened for various reasons, but only one of the windows causes this problem. Further, this window is very similar to another window in content, size and appearance, yet the other window opens fine.

This application makes extensive use of a backend toolkit that was developed for this application and therefore there is a lot of code reuse. My point being, there are some differences in the two windows that are similar, and they use the same toolkit functionality, yet one window crashes the other does not.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
