Recently (probably since the 5.3 updates) I've been seeing a memory leak
in httpd processes. They all slowly increase in memory usage until the
OOM killer kicks in, and finally until the machine locks up.
httpd-2.2.3-22.el5
mod_ssl-2.2.3-22.el5
mod_security-2.1.7-1.el5
mod_perl-2.0.4-6.el5
mod_nss-1.0.3-6.el5
mod_dav_svn-1.5.5-0.1.el5.rf
mod_python-3.2.8-3.1
Most of these (except for mod_security and mod_python) were installed in
late January. The lockups started a couple of days ago. Nothing
relevant has been installed in the meantime (I think).
I'm running Trac and Subversion servers with https and serving plain
HTML pages with http, not much else.
Anyone else seeing anything similar or know of any such problems or have
suggestions as to how I can start tracking this down (preferably without
disrupting my live site)?
TIA.
