Did you boot to the PAE kernel? #uname -r 2.6.18-128.1.1.el5PAE
Check out /boot/grub/grub.conf and see what the default= entry is and then check out which title that is. On my system, I have to edit this file and changing the line default=0 to default=1 with each kernel update, to ensure the box boots to the PAE kernel.
