off topic but I would appreciate any feedback. We have setup Oracle with Oracle Application Server. We have the DB server accessing around 2TB via iSCSI and 4 Application servers each sharing a 1TB partition via GFS over iSCSI. We had to set up a minimal cluster to get GFS working. Do any of you use iSCSI and/or GFS with Oracle Application Server ? Response time on the application servers log and out directories can be several minutes. If you have this kind of setup please let me know, as were trying to work out if we have been misinformed about the hardware and setup, and if what were are doing is common practice. Thank you. Nick.
