I've tried to figure this one out for the past few days, but I just can't. The problem is rather simple, everything works fine, but I can't ping this specific IP address (192.168.0.21), from Dom0 or DomUs. This IP address is an HP printer (JetDirect card)
1. Boot from any Linux LiveCD and try pinging from the same everything except the same booted operating system.
2. Find an IP address that you can ping the printer from. Move that IP address to the printer, and move the printer's IP address to that machine. Test and see what you can and can not ping.
3. If the printer and the other machine are in the same (or nearby) switches, change their switch ports and/or cables. You may change your cable/switch port as well.
4. Use wireshark or tcpdump to sniff packets. Hope this helps, Barry _______________________________________________ rhelv5-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/rhelv5-list
