I will check once more, but kmod-fuse I have found is not available for ia64
- once again, I need fuse.ko on my RHEL 5.4 ia64 system (on 5.3 it is not
possible to have it), can anyone help, please ?

My apologies - you are indeed correct, it's not available for ia64 (I completely missed your ia64 reference in my haste to answer).

Sounds like it's now enabled in the latest 5.4beta kernel though :)

It's certainly enabled in Don Zickus' latest testing kernels here:

rpmforge has fuse, dkms-fuse, and fuse-ntfs-3g srpms:

dkms-fuse is now deprecated in favour of kmod-fuse found at elrepo.org:

Is there any way or support for fuse in 5.4 (as promised in bz 481495) ?
I
need fuse.ko on a ia64 (itanium) RHEL5.4 machine, how can I make it ?
Installing fuse* rpms didn't make it - I need this in order to use
ntfs-3g,
any workaround is welcome - please, help !
