Here is some more info. 
In initrd are modules for multipathing and rdac failover, but mkinitrd 
does not add multipath.conf to the initrd file.
Don't know why.

2 servers are connected to to disk array (IBM DS4700) via 2 FC switches 
and 2 FC cards (in eatch server). 
There are 2 paths seen - active and passive. The paths connections are 
separated.
