That sounds like the 'firefox 3.6 doesn't work with vmware server 2' problem. Your options are
* Don't use firefox 3.6 * Hack at firefox 3.6 until it kind of works (not that easy) Variations are: Punch a VPN/SOCKS proxy tunnel through and don't use firefox 3.6. Open the access to remote and don't use firefox 3.6
