Hi,

One of our server, /var partition is getting read-only in every hour.
I think this server was being cloned from some other server. But I am not sure
about that though.

Got one message as follow:

Attemt to access beyond end of device
dm-1: rw=0, want=6602459872, limit=6291456,

Apparently there is space in /var partition. Some kind of inode mismatch error
messages was found in the beginning also.

The fsck was done several times.

If anybody have some idea to share , that will be really appreciated.

Thanks again

Does the size of the filesystem match the size of the partition/volume?

Does "df -k" match the output from "parted /dev/sdX print" or "vgdisplay -v" (where /dev/sdX is the drive for /var)?

You partition needs to be at least as big as the size shown in "df -k"
