Given past experience, it seems Red Hat likes to pretend that RHN never
has a problem (I can't remember anyone from Red Hat acknowledging any
outage in a public forum like this anyway). This has IIRC been the case
when even www.redhat.com was returning errors.

I'm trying to set up a new server and can't even get it registered. I
wasted a bunch of time because it is my proxy server (that I use for RHN
access), and I kept going back over my squid config, iptables, etc.
(since I was getting a "Proxy Error") before I realized it wasn't my
proxy that was the problem (and tried it without).

I'm having to make my changes because Red Hat changed the subscription
terms to remove the virtualization entitlements from the first tier of
subscriptions, so I'm really not happy with RH right now.

I don't speak for anybody but myself - that's enough trouble.
