I'm trying to search bugzilla (https://bugzilla.redhat.com) for open bugs that Red Hat has scheduled to be fixed in the first release of RHEL 6.

I'm confused by the "Version" and "Target" fields.

I would have expected the Version field to indicate the version in which the bug was reported. For RHEL 6, the available selections for the Version field are 6.0 and 6.1. But they haven't yet been released, right? Am I misunderstanding what "Version" means in this context?

I would have expected the "Target" field to indicate the release for which the bug was scheduled. For RHEL 6 the available selections for the Target field are alpha, beta, and rc. What does rc mean?

Thanks for any help.
