Have read both sides of this forum relating to whether the Sinclair's public displays of oral affection are relevant to the discussion concerning the propaganda piece they are intending to air.
The reference to Hitler didn't take long to surface. While I don't think individual behavior is a key component in the Sinclair debate, it is fair in the overall discussion since this is a SINCLAIR inspired and motivated action. We are entitled to as much information about the INDIVIDUAL who is doing this because it is relevant to the character of the INDIVIDUAL pursuing this action. His public record is extremely relevant since he's trying to sway the public. If he's a known public fornicator, that says SOMETHING about the man, just as Bill O'Reilly has shown his shortcomings in the COMMON SENSE department. In both cases we are dealing with people who have their own agenda to push. These aren't shrinking violets, they're high profile individuals deeply mired in the politics of our era. While I agree that personal sexual conduct (consenting) shouldn't be an issue, it is people like Sinclair, O'Reilly, and the cadre of rightwing media that made it so (Clinton). Would you say Rush Limbaugh's drug use is a personal issue as well? I would; right up to the point where he gets on the radio and shouts death to the drug users. After that, it's fair game to hoist them on their own petards. Definitely too late for them to cry foul. Enjoy. ------------------------ Yahoo!
