It is not that the software is not available or desirous. The problem is the Bush administration and the Republicans. The Bush admin is the most secret admin in history and they want to keep it that way. The worst abuses are not even spoken about. The media is a disgrace. The environment assault by this president goes unspoken and it affects even you. The problem with voting isn't that we don't have the capability. The problem is we are in a civil war here and it isn't being fought with guns. It is the steady erosion of rights and gradual elimination of safeguards and oversight which open source would enable. Doesn't everyone use Linux? I have used it for years when it pretty much replaced UNIX, which I used before Linux. When I noticed that Windows was a closed window to the code and I couldn't even see the machine language, I said you gotta be crazy to let anybody put that stuff in my house, on my computer.
