As if it didn't matter. It matters. Thanks for your comments. I think it is an important issue and must be kept alive. I think that until we get real election reform, an end to the Electoral College, and complete access to the ballot system, nothing is going to change. Democrats are upset because Nader is dividing the vote, but if there were dozens of parties on every ballot and equal access to funds and the debates -- and run offs, there would be something closer to a "democratic" representative government. But taking it one step further, on person, one vote is essential and a less powerful presidency who is perhaps the speaker of the House - and no Senate, we would have something which better resembles a democracy -- and a cabinet separately elected by the people we would then have democracy. And we would not have a bogus republic of, by, and for rich men.
