There is something quite chilling in the flippancy of this little diatribe. It reveals such a lack of understanding of 'martyrdom' and how it fuels more death and destruction. It also reveals the callousness of the oppressor - the person with power who can make the decision to kill. Killing the leader. There was a cartoon in the Sydney Morning Herald this morning, by Aussie artist Leunig, which showed the crucifixion scene... and has a Roman soldier nearby saying "Look at that! Brilliant! You kill the leader and you nip the whole movement in the bud." It answers Dafna perfectly. When Arafat is killed and the next layer of leaders is eliminated.... will Palestinian anger go away? Very unlikely. Then, I am sure, with her mindset already obvious to all...Dafna will be going for the final solution...the elimination of all Palestinians. There will be no satisfying her bloodlust.
