I have the DVD which was produced by Greenwald and like UNCOVERED (see
http://pnews.org/vortal/ a great piece of work explaining in detail the
voting fraud in 2000 and Palast speaks during several segments on that
DVD. I recommend it and will put up a link in the next couple of days to
the DVD (or go to Amazon Books for it).

But I also have Greg's book and didn't like reading it as much as I do his
columns. In the book he drifts, it seems to me, and tries to interject too
much humor in a very serious problem which unfortunately still has not
been completely addressed. First of all felons were not included in time
for the mid-term elections because Jeb Bush would have lost if they had
and I'm not sure they have yet even though it was an obvious scam and
fraud which should have been fully litigated. NOT.. Someone's head should
have rolled, and Katherine Harris should not be a national Republican
hero, which she is. It stinks!

Anyone who thinks we live in a democracy should see the DVD. In less than
an hour they will be convinced that the system is flawed and can be fixed
but there is not the will on the right nor the effort and power on the
left to get it done.

I just did an essay on the voting scandal, which was posted to PNEWS-L
over the weekend. See it at: http://pnews.org/art/art.shtml
which glosses over overvotes, undervotes, ex-felons not permitted to vote
and citizens who are not felons being prevented from voting because they
were falsely listed as felons -- but most of them Black. I believe
something like 90,000 were kept from voting. It wasn't just by a few
hundred votes that Gore would have won - even without Nader. It was tens
of thousands. Like allowing late absentee counts, which they knew would go
for Bush, etc... among all the other things. Flying Republican aides and
some of their bosses down to Florida to block recounts. It is all a
national disgrace.
