Issues are covered by usual smoke screens
Let me iterate again; Churchill, Roosevelt, Truman, Carter, Reagan,
Eisenhower, Stalin, Clinton, Kosovo, Mogadishu, the Korean war, Vietnam,
the U.S.S.R., the Japanese, the Nazis and the F-102 are not the issues but
the usual smoke screens used by some conservatives when they feel their
party may be in trouble.
These are some of the many issues that now are being addressed: Bush's
refusal to release the Reagan presidential papers; his refusal to release
the Clinton 11,000 pages on anti-terrorism; his refusal to release the
documents of Cheney's secret meetings with oil companies; the secret to
keep from Congress the actual cost of the new Medicare Bill; the many
months of stonewalling the requests of the 9/11 investigation committee;
Bush's refusal to release the panel's findings until after the November
elections.
Why Colin Powell's admission that he lied to the U.N.? Why the homogenized
relationship between industry and government? Why the refusal to allow
Americans to view the flag-draped coffins arriving here daily?
Why Bush's refusal to honor the nuclear non-proliferation treaty, which
prompted Russia to stop dismantling their atomic warheads. Why Russia now
has become a Wal-Mart for WMDs for anyone to buy or use?
Why terrorism has gotten much worse since Bush's declaration, "mission
accomplished"? Why Iraq is now on the brink of civil war? Why did the Bush
administration bug offices of the U.N.?
Why has this inept administration, through a constant stream of
demonstrable lies, hoodwinked the public, impoverished their social
services, mortgaged their future, and besmirched the reputation of our
country among the community of nations, as Bush has sacrificed the lives
of hundreds of our soldiers, and thousands of Iraqi civilians, to his
delusions and utter stupidity.
Why?
