I use Comcast cable modem for the TCP/IP connection to the Internet and I
have no probelms getting to the G0lem or PNEWS sites.
I wonder if the Comcast users who are having problems installed any
software that Comcast might have been providing or encouraging its
customer to get. I don't see any emails from Comcast because I do not use
their emai account and, since I am connecting non-Microsoft systems, I
don't use their setup software or such beyond one session on a "throwaway"
Win98 installation to set up the cable modem.
