Never in the history of the USA have so manyun-elected officials--unanswerable to the
Americanpublic --exert such unlimited power and influence assince the appointment of
G.W. Bush to the Presidencyfrom the (S)election of 2000.
Never in USA's history has a Foreign State--one of
some six million--appear to excercise unrestricted
influence on the Presidency, Senate,Congress, Foreign and Domestic Policies and the
Media.
Call it monday morning Quarterback post- mortem, buta quick review of G.W's resume
should have warned andalarmed many more of the likelihood of a type andquality of
leadership to be expected. But why botherabout reviews when we have Corporate owned
Media,Television and Newsprint with their twenty secondssound bites and filtered
articles to tell theuninformed and mindless what to think and whom totrust?. Many
articles have already been written by honourablepeople and Institutions --" Carnegie
Endowment forInternational Peace"/ " Human Rights Watch AnnualReport", / the "Army War
College Strategic StudiesInstitute" etc. documenting the grand
deceptions,disinformation, faked evidences and all the adjectivesthat describes
dishonesty; which our President, hisCabinet, other Officials, the unseen and
unmentionedones that meet in the shadows and behind closed doorsto plot and chart the
course the Administration shouldfollow (with the Media that played and are
furtherplaying the supporting
cast ) concerning everydecision of government from Palestine, Afghanistan andIraq,
the Middle and Far East, Education, to Corporatewelfare in the form of Health Care and
Tax Cuts,Secret Haliburton Contracts, Energy and ArmsManufacturers to Free Money for
the Super Rich to namea few and, where many, if not all of those in thedecision making
in the Bush Administration have directand indirect interests. In the" Army War
College" report by visitingProfessor Jefferey Record, he states among otherthings that
Bush's war on Iraq was a war of choice andunnecessary and likened the war on terrorism
to AdolphHitler's over-reach in World War 2.
A Media that omit facts and do not mention theblatant lies by the President and
hisAdministration, such as when they repeatedly ontelevision says ( millions see and
heard) " Theinvasion of Iraq was to fulfill the UN (1441) DEMAMDthat Iraq be disarmed
of 'Weapons of Mass Destruction ( WMD) (an outright lie) or when he and hisMinisters
say that Iraq KICKED out" UMSCOM" in 1998,(another lie, they did not) The public and
the worldcannot help but remembering how the UN and SecurityCouncil pleaded with the
Bush Administration to allowthem more time to further verify the "InternationalAtomic
Energy Agency" (IAEA) finding that no WMDexisted and, ignoring Secretary of State
ColinPowell's earlier statement in feb. of 2001 that IRAQhad not developed WMD. We now
know that later on he POWELL SUCCUMBED andjoined the army of fabricators with much
vigor. "Fewmen have virtue to withstand the highest bidder"George Washington.
Which leads me to this question;why do we as a society that is deemed to be
aboveaverage in education, technology, the arts andsciences, democracy and one that
adamantly professreligion; accept, tolerate and turn a blind eye to allthe above ?
Does'nt that tell us that we are in largepart a nation of liars, deceivers and
hypocrits,therefore tolerant to lies and the unquenchable greedthat drives us to
commit the most henious atrocitieson others for their nation's resources? I say to
thosethat disagree with my finding, what reasonable answer,excuse, mitigating
circumstances can be put forward torefute the above statement and justify our
murderous"Shock and Awe" actions on the pretence that the worldof people of Color, the
poor and the disadvantaged,the oppressed, the non industrial and marginalized
arejealous and hates us. That they wait behind every tree,mud brick house and in every
cave with WMD to inflict terror on usIn truth it is the opposite, it is we, us,
oursuccesive
Governments, the Military Industrial Complex and Corporations that are the hateful,
covetous and envious ones.
Would 9/11 have happened had not Mr. Bush sinceascendancy to the Presidency began
throwing outinsults, name calling and promise of annihilation tonations he labelled as
evil and undemocratic, and for
well over a year gave silent consent to the Israelis by
not uttering one word of restraint to them, thus allowing
Ariel Sharon (wanted in Belgium for War Crimes) to step up
atrocities against the Palestinians and a free hand to take as
much land as he chooses? ask yourself and answer in the recess
of your mind; would 9/11 have happened had not for generations
succesive American governments and people financed, aided and
abetted the Israelis in their daily atrocities of killings and
maiming of men, women and children. American helicopters that
destroy homes and apartment buildings without allowing the
residents to save any of their belongings. Confiscation of lands,
farms and homes belonging to the Palestinians-- whohappens to be Muslims and Arabs--
because it benefitsthe U.S Corporations and Finance Centers-- the Britishtoo-- in
their strategy of hegemony and retainingcontrol of other nation's resources.
Let me be very clear that this is in no way a support for
'Suicide Bombers' only to be mindful of reality that "violence
breeds violence"
Furthermore, let us not forget or dismiss other factsand circumstancial evidences.
Fact; until recently thePresident barred and blocked any investigation into9/11 or
releasing documents concerning the event. Why,one must ask, that such an important and
unparalleleddevastating occurance in America's history should notbe investigated ?
why, is there something(s) the Public
should not know?
Whatever spin the Bush Administration may put on this, it
cannot hide the fact that the President and his advisors display
much arrogance and treat the American public with contempt.To circumstancial
evidences; many people, all withdegrees in Physics, Engineering and the like
andinvestigative reporters point to irregularities as tohow the Twin Towers was
destroyed common with pre-setdemolition, and, hold the view that the
Administrationprobably was not altogether ignorant of the impending
disaster. Hard to believe? well remember that truth is
oftentimes stranger than fiction. Evidences can always bemanufactured to fit the
desired plan..Did Condoleeza Rice tell her friend Mayor Brown in San Francisco
not to travel on planes that week? fact or fiction?
Is it coincidence that suddenly in the days leading up to 9/11
Mr.Ashcroft of the Patriots Act fame, suddenly decided to
travel by private plane, instead of commercial planes hepreviously used?
Why is it that the President sat calmly and visually unconcerned
in a school reading to the students for many, many minutes
after given the news by the FBI. of the Twin Towers
destruction.?("Television documented".)These are indeed very strange behaviour and
questions that
should be answered, but, as to be expected, noneof these were ever addressed by the
Administration.But more striking, not one Democrat Politician orNational Newspaper,
Television, ie."The Media" as faras I know, had ever raised the issue once, it's like
of noimportance. Will these questions ever be asked and answered intwenty, fifty
years, or in our lifetime.? Don't hold your breath,
you will die of asphyxiation.Under the pretext of Democracy, Justice, Patriotism and
FightingTerrorism we Kill and Plunder with ourMilitary and Economic might and
intimidate Nations toabide by our covetousness and unfair demands. However, itwould
not be fair to lay all the blame solely on thisAdministration, albeit the most self
serving, warlike,secretive and intimidatory one in our Nation'shistory- as said by
many- they simple reflect themorals of many of us.. This or no other
administrationcould have succeeded in going this far in underminingthe Constitution,
Civil Liberties and trample onInternational Law and Order had not most of us,
thePeople, the Senate and Congress, the sanctimonious Religious
extremists, given tacit and open approval...
It would appear that the majority of us are asleep, in a
trance and mesmerized by the clever planned lies as to what ishappening to our nation.

We are slowly an invisibly being transformed into aFascist and Dictatorial Corporate
State under thepretext of the above mentioned. But as the pendulumswings and in the
passage of time, it will surely beour sons and daughters and those that follow them
that'must' pay the piper for our actions today. As nightfollows day, so it will come
to pass; unless we as anation seek and separate the wheat from the chaff andfind
honorable Men and Women to lead us. Instead ofthose that seek world conquest to fill
their pocketsand those of their friends at the expence of futuregenerations and those
that work for a living. The answer to the above is at the 'Ballot Box' IFonly we can
trust the new electronic voting system,without it's printed paper to record or redress
any questions.However, we should not be pessimistic and suspicious;DIEBOLD the largest
of the three companies thatproduce the machines-- its CEO is none other than oneof Mr.
Bush's main contributers-- assures us thatthere will be no
hanging 'Chads' to confuse us asbefore; this time it will be scientifically
andelectronically done. How many of you know that Americans are beingharassed and
arrested when our President-- with hisprepared speeches by inventive spin writers
--appearat'Captive Public Fund Raising rallies', simple because somecarry placards
voicing disagreement with theGovernment policies?, yes it's very true. ( SanFrancisco
Chronicle,1/4/04) In the words of PolishPhilosopher L. Kolakowski " There is one
Freedom inwhich all other Liberties depend--and that is freedomof expression, freedom
of speech, of print. If this istaken away, no other freedom can exist, or at least
itwould be soon surpressed." Thats the flame of truthyou all must carry forward. I
have encountered many decent, educated, law abidingpeople who are simple scared to
speak for what theymust know to be right. Some say, I don't want to getinvolved
because of the Patriot's Act; others say nowis not the time to speak up, one especially
niceamicable person said to me,' the way things are nowI'm laying low'. A Ivy League
schooled friend said tome that I should not send him any material criticizingthe
government as it might get him, and me, introuble. At the other end of the spectrum I
speak tosome who are struggling to put bread on the table;they too lower their eyes
and are afraid to speak;afraid of losing what they have'nt got and willprobably never
get. These are a synopsis of what Ioften see and hear. The Patriots Act has served one
ofits intended purpose, which is to instill 'Fear, Doubtand Silence" in the hearts and
minds of the fainthearted for "By Being Silent We Condone" Those now living under the
illusion of safety andwell being will not be exempted from the disaster
andretributions to follow should we adamantly continue onour present course of murder
and mayhem, torture and taking.
I will say it again; more and more Americans will not be able towalk without fear in
much of the world we once did.
Oh, what coursethe wind of change has blown; it seemed like onlyyesterday I saw and
heard Americans, in various partsof the world from the Continents of Europe, Africa and
beyond, with words and voices that carrieddemands and threats; "I- AM- AN- AMERICAN."
Nowalready many Americans when abroad pose and take onthe identity of Canadians, the
same Canadians theyonly yesterday berated for not joining in the Iraqimassacre. That
is the sordid legacy we are leaving forfuture generations and for those we claim to
love. Ourdeeds today will be a timeless plague which no guns, fivethousand bombs or
nuclear weapons can wipe away. This country does not exclusively belong to theBush's,
Cheney's, Rumsfeld's, Rice's, Powell's,or thePearle's, Wolfowitz's, Haliburton's,
Exxons, CorporateAmerica, the framers of the 'New American Century' and all
the others that dwell in the shadowsand sits in the Senate and Congress. It belongs to
ustoo, the Indigenous Americans, African Americans,White Americans, Jewish Americans,
Spanish Americans,Chinese Americans, Asian Americans and all the othersthat have built
and sustained this nation with theirblood, sweat and tears. They too have a right to
questionour leaders when they use us as pawns and clay pigeonsto fill their pockets
and satisfy their granddesigns of world conquest. One should be conscious of thefact
that we and our children are equally as importantas them. At the end of the day, in
the twilight of our lives,it is not only the wealth, position and materialthings one
acquires, but also how our lives was spent.To play a part for the betterment of
mankind, albeit asmall part, but a part none-the-less.. Instead to knowthat one sat
idly by, selfish, greedy, lacking inmoral courage and unconcerned for the less
fortunatein our society; for others whom we oppress anddestroyed their
lives, families, homes,infrastructure, leaving whole societies homeless,starving and
living in wretched sordidness.. With noexpectations for a better tomorrow, except
theAmerican and British bombs, terror and demands. Thathistory will judge us -in large
part- as the brutal,warlike, selfish and moraless American people thatinflicted such
savagery on the weak, especially topeople of color, beginning with the
indigenousAmerican Indians whom was killed, not only by guns,but with biological
germs, poisoned, enslaved, starvedand separating whole families by force to
differentparts of the country. Wives from husbands, brothersfrom sisters, mothers and
fathers from sons anddaughters; separated never to see their familiesagain. What if
that were you and yours? do contemplate onthat long after you've read this. Only by
knowing ourtrue history and from whence we came, can we build amore just society. That
said, I, or no one, apart fromattempting to inspire, can force one to do. That mustcome
from the person, the inner self, an inner selfwhose moral courage and conscience can
be developed insimilar manner as one would learn to read and write,to master a trade,
love of nature and poetry. Natureand whatever Gods there may be, have blessed us with
amind, intelligence and reasoning superior to theanimals of the jungle, exploit it my
fellow (wo)men.
