Humiliating Islamic laws have played an important role in creating the socioeconomic ills that still afflict the Muslim world today. We all have witnessed examples of social inequality in Islamic countries .. Maybe television, at times, does lie and present an imbalanced view but the reality has been attested to by former Muslims and reported enough times in trusted media sources to be credible. Whole books have been written about these horrific crimes against women and humanity. To claim otherwise is self-deceiving and rhetorical. The social standing of women has been depreciated by Islam. Women in Muslim countries are humiliated, abased, abused, mistreated, and murdered. Those here who excuse it are part of the problem.
