Mostly because we would not want to respond to messages or have
messages sent to the applications queue if it is not ready to reply or
respond. The messages sent would no longer be applicable or
appropriate to respond to. However, looking into things deeper the
only real danger of this happening are on messages that are consumed
via a publish or notify and there are only a couple currently in our
application. It might be simpler, and less network traffic if we make
those occasional consumers rather than regular consumers.
