Can you provide more context? More log statements? It would be helpful to see more on where it's failing to purge. Is it under heavy load only and fails to purge old messages only occasionally? I have seen it fail occasionally, but only under heavy traffic. This is why it is only logged as a warning. If it's failing frequently then there might be a bigger issue. I went and scrubbed our heavier traffic endpoints to see if we see similar statements, but I haven't seen any since updating ourselves. Another option would be to tweak the numbers for the QueueManager NumberOfReceivedMessagesToKeep and see if that helps.
