Right now, not much other than convenience. But it would be possible
to add a couple of other features which might make it worth
integrating:
- Audioscrobbler-related smart playlists (e.g., "most popular
songs/artists this week", "songs my friends are listening to",
"recommended songs", etc.)
- Last.fm personalised radio (see www.last.fm for more information)
- Taking Audioscrobbler recommendations into account in play-order
- Suggest or automatically append songs to play queue based on
Audioscrobbler recommendations (I believe amaroK does something like
this)
- Suggestion of songs to add to iPod based on combination of local
song ratings, Audioscrobbler recommendations, weekly charts, and so on

Regarding the space used in the preferences window: it could also be
moved to the druid since people aren't likely to change their
Audioscrobbler settings often.

Cheers,
Alex
