"Import Error" entry items no longer have their original uri's accessable. This means that (for example) plugins attempting to fix bug #328526 "Add metadata cache for audio players", can't cache which files are unreadable. The following patch fixes this.
Additionally, I've attached a Python source plugin that attempts to load /proc/version (which unless you've got a very odd system, should be not loadable), which demonstrates an example of what can be done with this patch applied. Additionally, it might form the core of an expanded Python source example. Tom
