SuggestionBox selection does not work on Safari 3.1.1/Mac

When selecting an item from the suggestion box it does not appear in the
associated text field on Safari 3.1.1/Mac. This problem can be tested using the
current live demo.
Also the highlighted row does not change when moving the mouse over the
suggestions.
