I've used attached pages and still cannot reproduce the issue. What is
../layout/template_4level1.xhtml page?
Please check that all resources were loaded properly on "Net" Firebug tab.
Also I still haven't got the point about two lists. Can you please attach
better illustration picture for this problem?
