Tree Component javascript errors in IE7

IE7 is having problems rendering the Tree component. This problem exists on
the RichFaces demo site. It's easily reproducible. Just go to the tree
component, select the ajax-style of invocation. Repeatedly expand/collapse an
arbitrary node. You will a javascript popup detailing:
Error: 'Tree.Item.findComponent(...)' is null or not an object.
This is what our users see in our application.
