ColorPicker does not output valid XHTML

The XHTML produced by the new ColorPicker component fails W3C validation. I am
using the awesome Validator plugin
(https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/249) for Firefox, so you might
want to too.
The kind of errors I see are:
* there is no attribute 'vertical-align'
* required attribute 'alt' not specified
* reference to non-existent ID
