This jira is specifically asking for a user-re-sizable split pane. The layout
components that are part of RF 3.3.1 do provide split layouts but are not
specifically re-sizable by users - see
http://livedemo.exadel.com/richfaces-demo/richfaces/layouts/page/template.jsf
for an example.
We will continue to leave this issue open until we get a user-re-sizable pane.
