rich:pickList does not html encode ampersand

When the label property of a SelectItem of a rich:pickList contains an
ampersand (&), this ampersand is rendered directly in the resulting html code
(and not encoded as &).
This way, the page is no valid XHTML any more and not displayed in Google
Chrome (other browsers however ignore this error).
