Alexander, code snippet provided by you isn't working in JSF-managed bean, but
according to

that's right behaviour. If you want to call rich: functionsfrom JSF bean you
must provide FaceletContext to method. I check that rich functions works well
in xhtml pages, so I close the bug.
As for richfaces-demo editor page - I double check demo in portlet environment
and don't found the problem. I haven't idea what code can throw this exception
as well on editor page, maybe I miss something?
