Servlets 3.0 API has following additions:
Pluggability
Easy of Development
Async Servlet support
Security
The backward compatibility is solved but
* not using Async servlet or detect its support, note that RichFaces does not
use it directly, but uses Atmosphere which handle interoperability
* automatic registration of servlets does not work, user needs to register them
in {{web.xml}}
