I just found out that rich:treeNode does not provide the attribute 'icon'
(rich:tree does). To set the icon for a rich:treeNode you can use the
iconExpanded, iconCollapsed attributes.
However, this is still incorrectly used in the Richfaces Showcase and should be
change there.
