Issue persists with RF 4.3.2.Final.
There is a simmilar issue with custom sortings (see description here:
https://community.jboss.org/message/823397)
At least there's a workaround:
You have to ignore all setYourFilterPropery-Calls during RENDER_RESPONSE phase.
