Yes, but the presence of spring (or any other framework) increases the 
complexity and complicates the debugging of the project.  To expedite the 
resolution of this issue (and future issues) please provide a [Short, Self 
Contained, Correct (Compilable), Example|http://sscce.org/].  In practice this 
means an example with only the libraries present absolutely required to 
reproduce the issue.
