I is reproducible with Metamer deployed to Tomcat 7.
# deploy Metamer to Tomcat 7 and open
http://localhost:8080/metamer/faces/components/a4jJSFunction/simple.xhtml
# click the link invoking a4j:jsFunction
or
# deploy Metamer to Tomcat 7 and open
http://localhost:8080/metamer/faces/components/richAccordion/simple.xhtml
# switch the accordion item
Both cases work fine in Chrome but do nothing in IE 10 and IE 11.
